As well as coming 1st 2nd & 3rd in the Australian Yard Dog Championship at the one trial, This has never been done by any other competitor. With this win in the Australian Yard Dog Championships that gives us 11 National titles in all. Four of our 7 National Champions Left to Right :- Karana Digger II who won the National Kelpie Utility Championship 3 times the only dog in the history of the Kelpie Trial to have won 3 times, Karana Duke, Karana Sami, Karana Abba II who won the National Kelpie Championship 2 times. There are 3 National Kelpie Champions that are missing from this photo. Karana Seiko who was our first winner & Karana Ripper II who won it after this photo was taken & our latest winner Karana Roy IV was our latest who Won the National Kelpie Championship on the 7th 3rd 2023. All of these results are proof of Champions breed Champions. Karana Duke was the Sire of Karana Sami & Sami was the dam of Karana Ripper II & Karana Digger II was the sire of Ripper II & Diggers sire was Milburn Basil who won a number of Australian Yard dog Championships. Karana Abba II was the son of Boanong Buster who won the National Kelpie Championship as well as the Australian Yard dog Championship & our latest National Kelpie Champion Karana Roy II is a son of Karana Abba II . Another well performed dog is Karana Tige II who came 2nd 2 years in a row 2017 & 2018 in the National Kelpie Championship.25th April 2021 Tige came 2nd once again in the National Kelpie Championship at Allora in Queensland. Tige is also a son of Sami by Abba II. 2 of our other National Champions Karana Seiko & Karana Stubbie ( having won the Australian Yard Dog Championship & his brother Seiko coming 2nd & a grand son of Seiko Karana Chad coming 3rd ) all of these were deceased when this picture was taken. Our other National Champion Karana Ripper II will need to be added to our list of National Champions following his latest Win in the Kelpie National 2015 in Cressy Tasmania. It has been 8 years since we won a National Kelpie Trial until our recent win on the 7th 3rd 2023.
